Alumni are often looking to hire Brown grads. In the sometimes confusing
sea of job listings, your Brown connection can be your beacon. This listerv
gives us simple and fast way of passing on job listings from alumni to
you.
HOW
TO JOIN
The email to join is sent to a listserv server, not a person. You must
follow the procedures exactly.
- Email to this address: LISTSERV@brownvm.brown.edu
- Leave your subject line blank.
- Type this in the body of your email:
SUBSCRIBE BROWNTOBROWN firstname lastname
- Example:
SUBSCRIBE BROWNTOBROWN Josiah Carberry
- Avoid including your signature in emails with the listserv server.
- You can also sign up through the LISTSERV web interface:

HOW
TO CHANGE SETTINGS (DIGEST, ETC.)
DIGEST: To set for digest option, where you will only receive one email
every day that will include all of the day's messages, do the following:
- Email to this address: LISTSERV@brownvm.brown.edu
- Type this in the body of your email:
SET BROWNTOBROWN DIGEST

Careers in the Common Good listserv
The Brown Community Jobs Listserv (COMJOB-L) is is a private e-mail
discussion group connecting Brown students and alumni who are looking
for meaningful community-based work with campus staff who administer related
programs and resources. The opportunities and events posted to the list
are diverse in subject matter, geography and skills required. The Brown
Community Jobs Listserv (COMJOB-L) is open only to students, alumni, staff
and faculty at Brown University. COMJOB is part of a larger initiative
- Careers in the Common Good -- sponsored by the Swearer Center for Public
Service.
